now i have tried turning it on for more than 10 mins and its not getting warm. I have tried connecting the monitor to a PC via DVI -> VGA and VGA -> VGA to no avail. but i know its working because the touch blue lights are reacting
I cannot also see the self-test provided. I can say because I see the lights turning on for the OSD touch. I started charging when the battery was at 78 and got this behaviour, but I left it off and plugged in, and after a few minutes it stopped. The liquid damage was on the underside, mostly in the upper-right corner by the video connector and MagSafe port (although like I said, I've replaced the DC-in and that is not the problem), and the board responds exactly the same whether it's fully connected up or bare. In fact, the bare board connected to a DC-in with the AC adapter plugged in still blinks, so the problem is clearly unaffected by all elements (screen, RAM, etc.) and obviously has to do with the board itself. I've removed the board completely and replaced the DC-in with a known-good DC-in, and it still just blinks. The light on the AC adapter plug blinks green. Hello!
